Ecommerce Terminology (Activity 8)

As we move towards the exam I wanted everyone to feel comfortable with some of the terminology we have been using and so this week's activity is all around these terms.

Research and make notes (a short paragraph) on each of the following words or phrases in an ecommerce context making sure you can see the difference between similar ideas.

Here are the terms:

  • click through rates
  • site conversion rates
  • page impressions
  • pay per click
  • fulfillment
  • in-bound links
  • average order value
  • payment integration
  • A/B testing
  • customer journeys
  • customer relationships
  • search engine ranking
  • PageRank
  • click and collect
  • real time inventory availability
  • revenue
  • profit
  • profit margin
  • unique visitors
  • organic search results

A single sentence will normally be enough but if you are confused then try and give an example to clarify your thinking.

Just wanted to ask about the exam, if we do all the Toolbox activities, we don't have to do the exam right? or am i wrong?

and this question is a bit off topic..

Do you know when our christmas holidays start, and end?

Thanks

Jonathan replies: Let's be very careful here. You have posted this against an ecommerce activity not a toolbox activity - which module are you taking? The rules are completely different!

Toolbox is coursework only unless you don't do the coursework.
Ecommerce is 90% exam + 10% activities.

Check out the holidays in the Faculty office.

What do you think?
